Bindweed
Bindweed is literally a weed. It can take over your garden if not properly contained but as with most Flora, it has its uses!! It can be used as twine and the stems and leaves can be made into a dye. Because it can be used in place of twine, this makes it ideal for binding spells/rituals, including Handfastings!! It can also be used for creating bridges and connections between realms but exercise caution!!
Rosemary
Rosemary has long been considered by many cultures to bring protection, from evil spirits to witches. Burning rosemary can also rid your home of negative energy and handling bundles above your doors can prevent harmful people from entering your home.
Bay Leaves
Bay Leaves can offer protection from psychic attacks whilst boosting your own magic at the same time!! Burning the leaves or placing them in the corners of your home is said to protect all who dwell there. It can also be used for:
- Consecration
- Dispelling negative energies/entities
- Spell breaking
- Protection from negative magicks
Incense
Incense isn't just good for making your home smell nice, they also have meanings specific to each individual incense!! Some help you relax, some boost divination and some provide protection. Ones such as Dragon's Blood, White Sage and Palo Sante can bring a much needed boost to your protection rituals/spells.
I know that Rosemary and Bay Leaves can be store bought or home grown but it's nice to know that somewhere else has these supplies in case you need them in a pinch!!
