Hello all!! Today's Crystal Wednesday is Carnelian!

Carnelian is a variety of Chalcedony and a member of the Quartz family! It is associated with the month of July, the planet Mars and the Sun, the Solar Plexus, Sacral and Root chakras, fire and is the gemstone of Virgo . The Ancient Egyptians were particularly fond of this stone. The Carnelian pictured has been tumbled.

Ancient Egyptians called this stone "the setting sun" due to its colour. The meaning of Carnelian is energy and creativity.
