Tarot Tuesday - The Magician
Hello all!! Today's Tarot Tuesday will feature The Magician!!
The Magician sits at number 1 in the Major Arcana, The Magician is also known as The Magus or The Juggler. It is associated with the element of Air and the planet Mercury.
History
In early Decks, The Magician was depicted as a brightly coloured street performer stood, behind, next to or near a table, holding a stick. The table usually has tools for slight of hand or take a chance games on it. The Rider-Waite Deck changed this depiction to a man in red and white robes, holding a stick/staff aloft with the infinity symbol above his head. On the table are representations of the Minor Arcana, a coin, a cup, a stick/wand and a sword.

The purpose of this segment is to help you with your own interpretations.
In The Magician card pictured above we can see a figure that strongly resembles Gandalf the Gray from the Lord of the Rings films. There is no table but The Magician still has representations of the Minor Arcana about his person. He holds a wooden staff in his hand and on his belt, he has a sword, a horn (either for drinking from or to call for help) and a sack, which I'm guessing contains coins. He has what appears to be a ball of light in his hand, presumably to light the way.
Meaning
If you draw The Magician, that means that you should use your full potential and not hold back especially if there is a need for something to transform. You must review your talents, capabilities and what resources you have available to you at this time to allow you to move forward. Determination and skill will prove useful at this time.
Reverse Meaning
A reversed Magician means that you should proceed with caution. A lack of energy will lead to confusion and communication blocks/errors which, in turn, will lead to some people developing ill intentions and becoming deceitful around you. It's best to wait until you've regained your energy and are in a clear headspace.
Everyone has their own interpretation of Tarot. Interpretations differ from person to person.
I hope you've enjoyed this weeks Tarot Tuesday, keep your eyes open for The High Priestess next week!!
Blessings,
