Emporiblog - Which Witch Are You? pt VI

Hello all and welcome to part 6 of our Which Witch series!

Today we're going to look at the following paths:

Art Witch

An Art Witch is a Witch that expresses their path through and finds strength in any kind of Art, painting, writing etc. Colours are important to an Art Witch as every colour has a meaning (Stitch Witchery, covered in pt 5, falls under Art Witchery too). An Art Witch may find themselves selecting Crystals and other ingredients purely based on colour than actual meaning. Runes and Sigils may be a favourite here, especially making your own! If you're an artsy person and feel a strong connection to your Art and colours, then the path of the Art Witch may be the one for you! I can't find any specific books for Art Witchery so it's best to do your own research!

Eclectic Witch

An Eclectic Witch doesn't stick to one particular practice, instead, they take bits and pieces from other crafts (where appropriate) to make their own path. The Eclectic path is very personal and often changes as parts are added or no longer used. Research and an open mind is key to this path as you need to have knowledge of the different paths that you're incorporating into your own. If you find that you don't fit into a particular box, using magicks when needed, feel like you're called to different magicks all the time and don't particularly care for "trends", then the Eclectic path may be the one for you! Fairy Witch

A Fairy Witch works with energies of Fairies or Faeries and other elemental spirits like mermaids, ogres, gnomes and the like. Fairy Witches need to know their folklore and know exactly what type of Fairy/spirit they are summoning as not all elemental spirits are kind and loving, some are tricksters and vindictive. Fairy Witches tend to be drawn to the outdoors and are intelligent and quick witted like Fairies. Flickering orbs and lights are signs of Fairies and spirits, so if you see them regularly and it's not due to s medical condition, it could be a sign! If you're compassionate towards creatures and plants, love the outdoors and have made your garden/space as colourful and whimsical as possible, the path of the Fairy Witch may be calling you but be warned! You must research thoroughly if you go down this path. For further reading 👇🏻 also get as many books on folklore and spirits/Fairies as you can!

Hereditary Witch

A Hereditary Witch or Blood Witch is a Witch that either comes from a family of practitioners or has at least one ancestor that practiced but, since Witchcraft wasn't always documented, if you don't have things that have been passed down, you may or may not know that you can be an Hereditary Witch. The Hereditary practice is a personal one with some choosing to incorporate family traditions into their practice and some choosing to completely forge their own path. Family is the greatest resource for the Hereditary Witch, especially if there are heirlooms relating to Witchcraft to be passed down e.g Grimoires. If you know of any ancestors/family members that practiced or have a strong bond with your family and can sense members who have passed on, you could be a Hereditary Witch! Further reading 👇🏻, also refere to family if you can!

I hope you've enjoyed this Which Witch! If I haven't gotten to your path yet, let me know so I can check my list and make sure that I don't leave anyone out!

Blessings,
