Emporiblog - Which Witch Are You? pt VII
Hello all!! We're back with are Which Witch series and are now on part 7!
If you're struggling to find the right path or are curious of other crafts, our Which Witch series may help you find it so, let's have a look at some more paths!!
Intuitive Witch
The most important tool for an Intuitive Witch is their Intuition! An Intuitive Witch can sense if a Spell doesn't feel right as they're creating it and can know exactly how to fix it simply with their Intuition. You may also have one or more of the "Clair" abilities like clairvoyance, claircognisance, clairaudience etc (more on those at a later date!)! The downside to being an Intuitive Witch, is that it can be very draining, especially if you're just coming into your power. Whilst you can feel the energies of others, you may unintentionally take on those emotions yourself so it's important to keep a check on your emotions and face them, when you're ready of course!! If you can read the energies of others and places, feel when someone is draining your energy, know exactly what needs to be done or have an affinity with the Clairs, chances are that you are an Intuitive Witch! If this path fits, remember to protect and ground yourself regularly! For further reading 👇🏻
Practical Witch
A Practical Witch is all about getting through the day, with a little help from Magic of course! A Practical Witch isn't afraid to dabble with other forms of Magic to help with their current predicaments/situations and use different Magicks throughout the day e.g Kitchen Witchery while cooking or Green/Hedge Witchery in the garden etc. Practical Witches may also leave magical tools around the house or car so they can use them as an when they need them as Practical Witches often make Spells spontaneously as the day goes and as their situation changes. Witchcraft is very much part of the Practical Witches daily routine from the occasional big rituals to the preferred mundane Magicks that can be done quickly with minimal ingredients. If you like to be surrounded by Magic, always have a Spell handy and have even found yourself muttering Magic under your breath or as you go then you may find that the Practical path is the one for you! Ritual Witch
Unlike the Practical Witch who's happy just stirring their morning beverage with intention, Ritual Witches prefer to go all out! Sometimes called a Ceremonial Witch, a Ritual Witch is someone who prefers to set a decent block of time aside so they can really delve deep into their craft and (preferably) not be disturbed in the process. Lots of planning is involved in this practice, from space/self cleansing to time and date to every single ingredient/tool needed, Ritual Witches plan it all! And they aren't afraid to show it off either (depending on the individual Witch of course!). Elaborate ceremonies and Coven meetings may be your speciality here, especially if you're celebrating something big, or small depending on the occasion. Some Ritual Witches may prefer to use traditions from their families or Covens in their Rituals/plannings whereas some prefer to make their own, either way is totally fine! If you like to go all out, use as many Tarot cards in a reading as you can, have enough Candles to open a shop and keep saying that you need a bigger Altar and more storage space, then you may be a Ritual Witch! Secular Witch
Secular Witchcraft is more of a blanket term for Witches that practice outside of a religion e.g Wicca and Paganism. However, this doesn't mean that a secular Witch can't call apon a Deity if they feel the need, it's really up to the individual Witch and is a completely personal practice. A Secular Witches practice isn't restricted by rules and regulations and is mostly self-made but may contain bits from other crafts, but only if they fit the individual Witches' craft and aren't restricted by religion. If you don't feel drawn to Witchcraft religions, religious practices or just want to forge your own path, then you can adopt the Secular Witch moniker! Further reading 👇🏻
