Tarot Tuesday - Justice
Hello all! Today's Tarot Tuesday is Justice!
Justice is number 8 in this Major Arcana, in some Decks, like the Rider-Waite Deck, Justice and Strength swap places. Justice is associated with the element of Air and the planet Venus.
History
Justice appears in the Major Arcana in early Decks like the Tarot de Marseilles and is one of 3 cardinal virtues, the other 2 being Temperance and Strength. The Rider-Waite Deck switched Justice and Strength around to better fit with the card to astrological correspondence worked out by the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn.

The purpose of this section is to help you with your own interpretations.
In the card pictured above, we can see a gray woman with what looks like swirling tattoos and some small darker gray garments. She has, what looks like, whispy wings coming out of her back and she's leaning on a gray sword. The sword has some kind of writing on it but I can't make out what it says. The woman is perched on a mound of skeletons. I can see some kind of shield under the skeletons. Under the skeletons there is a banner that reads "Tonight We Drink In Valhalla".
Meaning
Justice doesn't mean any old Justice. It means that the decision that you made was not only right, it was also the fairest. The causes and effects of this decision are what is supposed to happen in response to your decision but don't let that change your mind! Some people may disagree with your decision but balance and equilibrium will come about and things will fall back into place. Justice indicates that it is your responsibility to make the decision and to trust your instincts when making said decision.
Reversed Meaning
An inverted Justice is not a happy one. There is an imbalance to the situation you are asking about, most likely caused by dishonesty, either on your part or from someone else related to the situation. There is also a lack of accountability from yourself or others in regards to your/their actions in this situation. This lack of accountability has lead or will lead to unfair treatment of yourself towards others and visa versa, relationships will crumble if this isn't sorted out. If there is any legal action going on, watch out for flaws within the legal system that could cost you big time.
Everyone has their own interpretation of Tarot. Interpretations differ from person to person.
I hope you've enjoyed this weeks Tarot Tuesday! We'll continue with the Major Arcana next week!
Blessings and watch out for Bonfire Night "celebrations", especially if you have animals!
