Hello all! Today's Crystal Wednesday is Mookaite!


Mookaite (Mookaite Jasper) is a form of Chalcedony that can also contain fossils! Mookaite doesn't have a particular month association but it is associated with, the planet Earth, the Solar Plexus and Root Chakras, the element of Earth, and can be considered an honorary gemstone for Scorpio, Aries, Leo and Virgo. The Mookaite pictured above has been tumbled.




The Meaning Of...

Mookaite gets its name from the Mooka Creek in Australia where it was found and used by Australian Aborigines. Mooka also means running waters in the traditional Aboriginal language so I would also associate it with water.
