Where To Find

Cherry Laurel is native to the reasons that border along the Black Sea particularly, Southwest Asia, Southeast Europe, Albania, Bulgaria, Turkey, the Caucasus Mountains and North Iran. Cherry Laurel can found in woodland areas and is also commonly planted in parks and gardens.

Edible Parts

The Fruit produced by this plant is edible but should only be eaten if fully ripe! The Seeds can also be eaten but not if they are bitter. You can also distill water from the leaves but do not consume in large quantities!

With Cherry Laurel, all of the plant contains Hydrogen Cyanide. It is easily detected by its distinctive Bitter taste so so NOT eat any fruits and seeds from this plant that taste bitter. If a small amount is accidentally consumed, no serious effects should occur but if a large amount is consumed, seek immediate medical attention!
