Flora Friday - Pine

Hello all! Today's Flora Friday is Pine!

Pine (Pinus) is a genus of tree belonging to the Pinaceae family. It is also the only genus in the subfamily Pinoideae. I have determined that the Pine pictured above is Cluster Pine (Pinus Pinaster). Other names include:

Where To Find

Cluster Pine is native to the Mediterranean. It grows vigorously in coastal, sandy areas and,vas such, has been used to stabilise sand drifts.
