Sigil Making - Pictorial Sigil 1

Hello all!! We're continuing with Sigils today, I want to get as much of this done as possible and close together to keep it cohesive!

There are different methods of creating a Pictorial Sigil and this one is my favourite! So let's begin.....

Step 1 - Write your affirmation

For this one, let's go for:

"Health and happiness"

You can write it all in lower case, capitals or however you feel comfortable writing

Step 2 - Remove vowels and duplicate letters

Similar to our last post, except it's recommended to remove vowels instead of an optional step.

Health and happiness becomes: HLTNDPS

(I tend to write out the remaining letters in capitals to make it easier to see)

Step 3 - Make a number-letter table

The table is as follows 👇🏻
This allows us to move on to step 4.

Step 4 - Match the letters to numbers

Using the above table, HLTNDPS will become:

8 3 2 5 4 7 1

If you have any repeating numbers, cross them out

Step 5 - Make a number circle

This circle can be clockwise or counterclockwise, I like to draw both as sometimes the numbers work better with one than the other.

Step 6 - Draw your Sigil

Once you have your number circle, you can draw you Sigil. Start with the first number and work your way to the end. Examples 👇🏻

I prefer to do the initial drawing in pencil and then go over it in pen. I prefer the counterclockwise Sigil so I will be continuing with that

Step 7 - Finish your Sigil

Now that you have your Sigil, draw it separately from the number circle, like so👇🏻Once you have your Sigil here, you can add lines and circles to it. I do them in pencil first and then go over them once I've decided on placement, e.g 👇🏻
Lines, dots ect are optional

I hope you've enjoyed this post!! We'll take a brief break from Sigils for Tarot Tuesday, Crystal Wednesday and Flora Friday, so keep your eyes peeled for our remaining Sigil lessons!!

Blessings,
