Sigil Making - Word Sigils
Hello all!! We're starting our mini Sigil series today with the method of making Word Sigils!
Once we've gone through all of the methods, I will go through what to do with your Sigil. I'm doing it in this order so you can find and perfect your preferred method first.
I would also like to say that Sigils are NOT a toy!
Step 1 - Write your affirmation
For the purposes of this, we will be using,
"I am protected"
You can write it all in lower case, capitals or however you feel comfortable writing
Step 2 - Remove any duplicate letters
I am protected will become: I am protecd
Step 3 - Remove vowels (optional)
I am protecd will become: Imprtcd
Step 4 - Rearrange the remaining letters
This is the most time consuming bit of this method. It'll take time for you to find a Sigil shape that you like. Once you have found your shape, keep tracing it until you are comfortable with it. For example:👇🏻
I prefer the second Sigil as it looks a lot more cohesive and neater, it's also easier for me to trace.
For those of you who are more technology confident, you can design the Sigil on a computer and print it out. This is also a handy thing to do to help with tracing the Sigil as printed ink is thicker and bolder than pen ink.
Here's an example of the above Sigil done on my phone picture editor 👇🏻
I colour coded the letters to make it a bit easier to see the placement of each one. It's perfectly ok for letters to overlap as long as it makes sense to you.
I hope I've explained everything clearly!! If you have any questions, please let me know and I'll do my best to answer them!!
I'll be covering the remaining methods for most of the upcoming week, then I will get onto what to do, how to use etc
In the meantime, if you find your preferred method before I cover everything, Google and asking other more experienced practitioners will help you move forward!!
Blessings,
