How To Wear A Crystal Ring

Hello all!! Today's Crystal Wednesday is all about Crystal ring/general ring placement!!

DISCLAIMER

You don't have to abide by this. This is not a hard and fast rule as I know and understand that some people have preferences about how to wear jewelry, some people have sensory issues and some people may have medical limitations.

So, as with our bracelet post last week, the placement of a ring has meanings in Witchcraft and the meaning can change depending on whether or not you have placed the ring "as a ring" or placed it with intent. Let's start with the hands first.....

Left

The left hand is your hand so to speak. It is all about your personal and private life away from everything. It connects you to your family/ancestors and represents you as an individual, including all of your internalised feelings. The left hand is the where energy that you attract and take in goes.

Right

Your right hand is your public handhand. It represents your work life and your relationship with society and social situations. The right hand is where the energy that you release and put out comes out. 

Now to the fingers.....

Index Finger

The Index Finger is associated with the element of Water and is the finger that represents your personal identity and how you view yourself. It symbolises your ambitions, leadership qualities and your self-esteem/confidence.

Middle Finger

The Middle Finger (my personal favourite) is associated with the element of Earth and represents your cultural identity and how you react to responsibility, law and order and justice. It can also represent security within yourself and materialism. 

Ring Finger

The Ring Finger is the finger of self expression, love and creativity and is associated with the element of Fire. If said ring is a wedding/engagement/promise ring, it is a physical representation of finding a partner. If the ring was a gift or bought by the wearer, it signifies a bond between the wearer and the gifter or is a representation of self love. 

Little/Pinky Finger

Your Little Finger is associated with the element of Air and is the finger of communication and sexuality/intimate relationships. It also represents both strength and confidence within relationships. 

Thumb

Your thumb is associated with the ether/spirit and represents your spiritual identity. It is all about your will power/inner strength, how you apply you energy and determination. It also represents how you apply reason and logic. Because the thumb is separate and allows us to do the things we do, it is also associated with strength, freedom and independence.

If a ring is worn with purpose and intent, it will magnify the positive qualities of said finger and give strength to you and those qualities. It will also bring in and release positive energy.

If a ring is placed unconsciously, it will change the positive qualities of that finger to negative qualities. It will attract negativity and put out negative energy. 

If you have placed a ring unconsciously, take it off, cleanse it and reapply with intention to negate the negative.

I think we'll leave this here!! As I stated above, this isn't a hard and fast rule. I know that some people (myself included) have trouble finding rings that actually fit so we put it on whatever finger it'll fit on and just be thankful that it actually fits and worry about intentions later...
