Emporiblog - Signs That Someone Has Sent Negativity To You
It doesn't matter who you are. You can be the nicest person in the world but there's bound to be someone somewhere who doesn't like you for whatever reason. Let's take a look at how to tell of someone has sent negativity to you in any way, shape or form and how to deal with it.....
Sign 1 - Plants
If you have plants, check them regularly. If you see a difference in them such as:
- Fading/wilting earlier that usual
- Not blooming on time
- Damage
- Poor energy/negative energy shift
- Discoloration
Chances are that your plants have been absorbing the negativity to keep you safe! Of course, check for the obvious reasons for the above e.g is the plant watered, right soil, time of year/weather etc.
Sign 2 - Feeling down for no reason at all
If you're in a slump, have just been feeling really bad lately or noticed a change in your behaviour but can't figure out why, someone may have sent negativity towards you and it is now starting to affect you.
Sign 3 - Everything is going wrong
If nothing is going right and everything is messing up to the point where you're feeling overwhelmed, you may have had negativity sent your way which is preventing you from moving forward and doing it's best to disrupt your life.
Sign 4 - Insects/Creepy crawlies
Not everyone is a fan of insects or creepy crawlies so, if you notice an increase in said things (like flies and spiders), negativity may have been sent your way! Either that or Loki is reaching out to you....
Now we're going to move on to methods for confirming the negativity/Hex.
Method 1 - Divination
Using your preferred method of Divination, check to see if negativity has been sent your way. You may receive a more in-depth answer than the one you were expecting so pay close attention.
Method 2 - Check your wards/protections
If your wards/protections are damaged in any way, have moved or are giving off a different energy, there has definitely been some kind of negativity sent to you.
Method 3 - Match Method
This is a favourite of mine. For this you will need a bowl with water in it and 2 matches.
Strike the matches together and over the bowl. Once they're lit, throw them into the bowl. If the matches don't touch, you're fine. If they touch, someone tried but failed. If the matches cross, you've been Hexed/you've received the negativity.

Cleanse
Cleanse everything!! Yourself, your home/property/space, your car, your tools, everything!! We do have posts on cleansing but here are some cleansing methods for a quick recap:
- Sound cleansing
- Smoke cleansing
- Crystals
- Cleansing bath/shower
Return To Sender
Check out our Return To Sender (RTS) post for more information on how to send negativity back to the person who sent it to you!!
Wards/Protections
In conjunction with the above 2 steps, replace any damaged wards/protections and strengthen them and any remaining ones to the best of your ability!!
Deities/Entities
If you work with Deities/Entities, they can help!! Chances are they've already communicated with you about the negativity and/or have already delt with it, but it doesn't hurt to ask!!
I think we'll leave this here!! There is another method called an Egg Cleanse that can also be turned into an RTS but reading the Egg is quite complicated so it will require a separate post!!
