Tarot Tuesday - Judgement
Judgement is number 20 in the Major Arcana and is associated with the element of Fire and the planet Pluto.
History
Judgement or Judgment traditional imagery is usually focused around the Christian events, the Resurrection and the Last Judgement and usefully has the image of an angel with a large trumpet. In the Thoth Tarot, Judgement is called The Aeon and in the Darkana Tarot, Judgement is called Prudence as it better reflects the 4 Cardinal Values.

In the card pictured above, we can see a pale, winged woman, clad in white with long, straigh black hair. She has gray/white leaves and bats falling from her as she hovers above some kind of insect, a demon, a pixie/fae, a demon baby and a small eyeball monster. It also looks like she has a snake wrapped wrapped around her hand. We can see mountains in the background as well as a black dragon.
Meaning
An upright Judgement can seem overwhelming but everything it foretells is meant to happen and will help you change for the better. The first thing it tells of is an awakening. What this awakening refers to is completely dependent on yourself, your situation and your question but it will be a beneficial awakening nonetheless. You may also be in or will soon be entering a transition period; use this time to figure out where you want to go in life and what you need to do to move forward. You may need to take some time to renew your energy which will help you with your transition and will help you carry your new energy forward. You may also be due a redemption of sorts from either a situation or a person. This redemption is a just redemption and (quite possibly) long overdue and will help shift weight off your shoulders. You will also have some decisions to make or you have already made them. If you have already made them and draw this card, then the decision right. If you have yet to make them, as long as they are made with a clear head, the decision will be correct. All of this will lead to your reincarnation and the immergence of your true self!
Reversed Meaning
A reversed Judgement isn't the best. You have shown poor logic when it comes to your question or situation you are asking about. This poor logic has lead to poor and hasty decisions which have become detrimental to you and are stopping you from moving forward and reaching your true potential. You may already be aware of this and this is causing some serious self doubt, especially when it comes to important decisions as you feel that your ability to make decisions has been diminished and tainted by your previous bad judgements. All of this will lead to a period of stagnation and you will feel stuck. You will have to look at the other cards in the reading or have a more in-depth reading to find out how to break free from this stagnation and reclaim your confidence.
