Tarot Tuesday - Minor Arcana Introduction
This Tarot series will take us well into next year as there are 56 cards in the Minor Arcana (in most Decks). I will be breaking up the series with the odd Spread every now and then and other Tarot related content. I am well aware that the suits and court cards vary from deck to Deck and place to place so, try to follow along as best you can and if you have any specific questions relating to a specific Deck/variant, I will do my best to answer them!
I still haven't decided what Deck to use for this. The Alchemy Deck that I used for the Major Arcana would be the easier one to continue with but the imagery on some of the Minor Arcana cards doesn't actually fit with the cards themselves e.g Wands is actually roses, which for some reason just doesn't sit right in my brain. I think I might just flip a coin and what will be will be.
What I can tell you is that we will be starting with the Swords Suite because whenever I thought about starting this series I got the song Eight of Swords by Huntress in my head.
If you're following along with a theme Deck and have different suites, look in the pamphlet to see what suite your cards correspond to. We will also be using Decks with Page, Knight, Queen and King varients so if you're using a gender neutral Deck (I'm not very familiar with those as they are relatively new) the meaning of the card will still be the same but the name and imagery will change.
I think we'll leave this here!! Hopefully by next week I'll have decided what Deck to use!!
