Emporiblog - Banishing Introduction
In this post, I'll be going over the basics and our resident Banishing expert will provide us with a more in-depth post at some point during the week!!
What is Banishing?
Banishing is where you rid yourself and your home/space of something unwanted. Unwanted things can:
- Find their way to you
- Get sent to you
- Be summoned (usually accidentally)
- Impersonate other spirits/entities/Deities (tricksters) to gain entry
Why do I need to learn how to Banish?
For the reasons mentioned above and for your own safety, especially if you're just starting out as this is where you're most likely to accidentally allow something in (mistakes happen, that's why we're doing this!), you never know when you might need to get rid of something.
What can be used to Banish?
Without going into too much detail (more on this later...), the following things can be used in Banishing:
- Herbs
- Crystals
- Candles
- Wards
- Sigils
- Sound
Obviously, depending on what you're trying to Banish, depends on what you can use (again, more later...).
