Emporiblog - Egg Cleanse

Hello all!! Since it's getting close to Easter and Beltane, I think it's fitting that we talk about Egg Cleansing!!

What is an Egg Cleanse?

An Egg Cleanse involves using an Egg to cleanse your body of negative energies. It can be used to see if someone has sent negative energy to you and can be turned into a Return To Sender (RTS) once you've read your Egg.

A quick history

The practice of Egg Cleansing is thought to have come from Mexico and Mesoamerica and is called La limpia in Spanish which means the cleanse. This practice has also been traced to the Philippines and Italy where it is known as benedicaria which means way of blessings in English. 

How to do/read an Egg Cleanse

Here's a step by step on how to do and read an Egg Cleanse:

You will need a raw room temperature Egg and a clear glass of room temperature water (preferably a decent sized glass). 

The Cleansing:

To do the Cleansing, simply rub the Egg all over your body and let the energy go into the Egg. It doesn't matter if you're wearing clothes or not so you can do this at any time. Once you've done that, carefully crack your Egg and let the contents sink to the bottom of the glass and settle before reading.

The Reading:

Egg readings look like they could be a bit complicated so I'll do my best to explain everything:

- If you see bubbles rising to the top it's means someone has sent negativity to you

- Nails/Web/Needle shapes mean that gossip is affecting you and there are people working against you because they don't want to to succeed and they are working against you

- Webs around the yolk mean that negative gossip is quite literally all around you and it is encircling you

- Red spots/red eye shapes on the yolk mean that someone is watching you but their intentions are jealous/malicious

- Red spots in the liquidliquid can indicate ill health and black spots indicate a curse has been sent (if the spot is dark red, the illness is a result of a curse but please rule out all other medical explanations first!)

- Cloudy water means that people are wishing harm apon you

- If there are lines connecting to bubbles it means that someone has sent the Evil Eye to you as well as wishing harm

- if there is any shell in the glass, it means that you are holding onto the negativity and need to release it

- If the yolk breaks, you need to wait for everything to settle and then shine a light through the glass to help you see. If the yolk doesn't completely absorb the white and you see a spiral forming, it means that you have the strength to overcome the situation

- Clouds and Swirling figures show that there are emotional problems that you need to work through

- Bubbles around the yolk show that someone/something good is watching over you

I think I've covered everything but please do your own research if you're unsure. If I've missed anything please let me know!!

Now for the Return To Sender part:

You will need:

- Spicy things, chili, black pepper, hot sauce anything that packs a bit of a punch

- Salt and garlic for your protection

Add your spicy ingredients one at a time with the intention of sending negativity back to the person who sent it to you. When you've added all of your spicy stuff, add garlic to protect yourself from their energy and finish with salt to seal up the negativity and protect you from future attacks. 

Now for the fun part....

Once everything has settled, take your glass and pour the contents down the toilet BUT do not look as you pour. Once the glass has been emptied, flush the toilet!!
