Tarot Tuesday - Eight Of Swords

Hello all!! Today's Tarot Tuesday is the Seven Of Swords!!



The Eight Of Swords is associated with the element of Air and the planet Mercury (I've also seen Jupiter).

The purpose of this section is to help you with your own interpretations.

In the card pictured above, we can see a floating skeleton that has been blindfolded. The skeleton is also bound at the chest and waist by rope with its hands crossed at the pelvis. The skeleton is surrounded by Eight downward pointing Swords. There is also a prominent star by the skeletons head and another smaller one by its feet.




Meaning

An upright Eight of Swords indicates that you think very negatively about yourself and this self negativity is causing you to put unnecessary restrictions on yourself which is only hindering you. As such, you've imprisoned yourself within your own mind. It can also indicate that you feel imprisoned in regards to your situation, you need to find out why and how you can change that to the best of your ability. It also shows that you have a victim mentality. You are either unaware that you are doing it and have no control or you know exactly what you are doing and need to stop, it's not doing you or your situation any good.




Reversed Meaning

A reversed Eight of Swords shows that you have become aware of your self limiting beliefs and your own inner critic. It is time to release these negative thoughts so you can move forward and become the best version of yourself. By doing so, you will open yourself up for new and better possibilities. Be warned that this will take time, it will take a while for you to reprogram your mind and thought process but it will be worth it in the end! Shadow Work may be of help here or therapy may work and help you on this journey.

 Ancestral Communication and Work. Hi Guys, It's me again, as this is work that I have been actively doing, and Cat and I agreed that I would do this post for you. It seems to fit in well with the season.
