Emporiblog - Embracing Change
Nobody likes change. It's scary, confusing and can turn your whole day upside down but, change in Witchcraft is absolutely vital. Witchcraft is about adapting to your environment and incorporating it into your path; environments change constantly as well as nature is always moving, no 2 days are the same. Just like no 2 paths are the same.
You may find that your path will change a couple of times as well, which is completely normal as you discover your power and come into it. Things like Deity work can also influence your path as Deities can open up new directions and guide you.
Another example of change is moving. It is very rare for someone to stay in the exact same place their entire life. When some people move, they stay close to familar surroundings and some people move to somewhere completely different. For example, moving from a city to the coast. You may find that your path starts to drift more towards Sea Witchery than before as you adapt to your new environment. But there is an even bigger change: moving to a different country. This is where you need to be most aware of closed practices as not everyone can practice every path. Some aspects may be ok for you to incorporate but not everything can be.
I digress, the point of this is to show you that change in your craft can happen in a veriaty of ways and shouldn't be resisted. If you feel drawn to other aspects of another path, don't question it! You're being drawn to it for a reason and that reason is most likely because it will help you to better come into and understand your power!
