Emporiblog - Altar Items - Bowls

Hello all!! Our next installment in the Altar Items series is Bowls!!

Bowls do and can have a place on your Altar! You can use any Bowl you like as long as you feel like it fits on your Altar. I could go into the history of Bowls but that is a long history that would need several posts!!

What are Bowls used for?

Bowls on an Altar can be used for the following:

- Offerings
- Holding items
- Burning incense/herbs
- Holding candles

All of these depends on the shape of the Bowl and what it is made out of although most Bowls are heat resistant

Do I have to use a Bowl?

No. You don't have to use a Bowl on your Altar. But if you want to, you can use any Bowl you see fit. You can get Bowls specially designed for Altars and purposes in Witchcraft but you can use a Bowl from your cupboard (material and size depending). This would be a good idea if you do Ancestor work and have Bowls that have been passed down to you

This would also count as a Budget Witch Tip...

I think we'll leave this little post here!! If you have any other Items on your Altar that we haven't covered or an unusual item that you'd like to share, let us know!!

Blessings,
