Hello all!! We're retuning to our Broom Closet mini series with an emphasis on Stitch Witchery!!

What is a Stitch Witch?

But a very quick summary is a Stitch Witch finds their strength in sewing, knitting and embroidery, taking elements of Knot Magick and Colour Magick into consideration



How can Stitch Witchery help me in the closet?

Here are some ways Stitch Witchery can keep you practicing safely in the closet:

- Colour Magick. Colours have associations and properties in Witchcraft. You can incorporate this into Stitch Witchery by selecting coloured threads/materials that correspond to your purpose 

- Knot Magick. As you tie off a project, have a think about Knot Magick. You tie off thread with a Knot and knots have properties and meanings from size to number of knots. If you're feeling adventurous, you can also put knots into the initial design, this works great for embroiding flowers, stars and spots

- Chant as you go. This can also tie in with the above section. You can recite a Spell as you knit or sew either out loud (make sure you're alone!) or in your head, which would be preferable if you're in the closet 

- Sewing symbols. You can also hide Symbols, Sigils and Runes into your clothing/projects if you're careful enough. If you're very in the closet, I would recommend using thread that is the same colour as the garment/project you're sewing, you'll know it's there but no-one else will, which will allow you to practice in safety

Hello all! Today's post is kind of a serious one. Looking back through some of our previous posts, I have realised that some of the information that I gave is in fact, incorrect ! This post will hopefully set the record straight. The previous posts will still stand to serve as a reminder to always cross-reference and research thoroughly to avoid the mistakes that I made. Correction 1  ROSEMARY IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR ANY HERB!  Rosemary can only be substituted for herbs that it shares properties with. And, while we're here: - Rose cannot be substituted for any flower. Only the ones it shares properties with - Frankincense and Copal cannot be substituted for any incense/oil/gum resin. Only the ones that they share properties with - Tobacco cannot be substituted for any poisonous herbs.
