Emporiblog - Tooth Magick

Hello all!! I'm off to the dentist today so it's only fitting for today's post to be about the properties of Teeth!!

Like most things in this world, Teeth have properties that can be used in Witchcraft, including some of the following:

- Binding

- Necromancy

- Protection

- Divination

- Deity/Entity offerings

- Baneful Magicks 

- Banishing

- Revenge

- Courage with speech

- Stopping gossip

- Communication

- Attracting Spirits (use caution!!)

These properties will work for both human and animal Teeth but, the animal the Tooth is from will also give said Tooth additional properties.

The type of Tooth will also give additional properties as Teeth have specific functions; the following Teeth can be used as follows:

- Incisors - Used to cut food so could be used to help Spells that involve cutting/severing things 

- Canines - For tearing and grasping food so could be used for tearing things down and grasping hold of something

- Premolars - Used for crushing and tearing food so could be used in place of Canines for tearing things down and could be used to deal a crushing blow

- Molars - Are used for chewing and grinding food so could be used to chew through barriers/protections and Curses and can help to grind things down or grind things to a holt 

Now for those pesky Teeth right at the back that don't really serve a practical purpose but somehow have metaphysical uses:

- Wisdom Teeth - Prophetic dreams, attaining wisdom whilst sleeping, psychic awareness while sleeping and, of course, wisdom

You can put Teeth in Spell Jars (size depending) or use them individually. You can also inscribe Runes or symbols and use Teeth in Osteomancy and Divination but, make sure said Teeth are thoroughly cleaned first!!

I think we'll leave this here!! If you ever need any Teeth removed, ask to keep them!!
