Tarot Tuesday - Knight Of Swords

Hello all!! Today's Tarot Tuesday is the Knight Of Swords!!

Apologies for missing yesterday's post, family matters arose unexpectedly.

The Knight Of Swords is associated with the element of Air and the planet Mercury (I've also seen Uranus and Mars)

Pictured above...

The purpose of this section is to help you with your own interpretations.

In the card pictured above, we can see a skeleton rider holding a sword aloft while riding a skeleton horse. The rider has no armour, apart from a closed helmet. The horse appears to be mid-motion across what I assume is sand. The sky is cloudy and there is evidence of wind in the artwork. We can see a few stars in the sky in the form of dots but there are no prominent stars this time.

Meaning

The Knight is an ambitious card and a card of action. You don't like standing still but at the same time, you are detail orientated. It is this action oriented side of you that fuels your drive to succeed, which in turn, can only be achieved by moving forward. You are also fast thinking but it always seems to work in your favour as it helps you to move forward and get out of ruts that try to trap you. However, you must remember to take a step back from time to time to recharge and reassess: this will not hinder your progress, it will in fact, help it. This is key to making sure that you don't become impatient and your rightly placed assertiveness doesn't become arrogance.

Reversed Meaning

A reversed Knight is not a good night but not disastrous! You are restless. You don't like that you're standing still but you're so desperate to move forward that you're becoming impulsive with a hint of arrogance, which is making you unfocused. You have no clear plan, you just want to move and see this as the only way to move forward. Things are happening out of order and too fast and you are struggling to keep up with them, the stress of which is making you forceful and somewhat aggressive. You will become burnt out if you haven't already. Hit the stop button now; take a massive step back, reassess everything, curb your impulsivity and the accompanying arrogance and THINK!
