Crystal Wednesday - Earth Crystals

Hi guys,

Yes, strictly speaking 90% of crystals come from the earth, so are connected to the element of Earth by their very nature, but there are some that are just more linked than others.

Here I am going to compile a list of a few and delve deeper into one or two, just as I did with last week's Water Crystals blog.

Okay, so here is a list of crystals that are representative of the element of Earth:

  • Petrified Wood
  • Iron Pyrite
  • Moss Agate
  • Smokey Quartz
  • Black Obsidians
  • Jasper (Lots of different Jaspers, and 90% of these are linked to the Earth element)
  • Most black, brown and grey crystals
  • Halite
  • Anthracite
Above is a picture of just some of my smokey quartz, we have done a video on this, so I'm going to skip to some others.



Anthracite

Most people will have seen some form of this crystal at some point, as it is a superior form of coal, that is found in most areas of the World.

A high carbon content of this crystal gives this stone the chemical formula of C 240 H 90 O 4 NS

Healing properties include:
  • Grounding
  • Detoxing
  • Fulfilment of goals
  • Alleviates depression 
  • Anxiety relief
  • Balances emotional state
  • Clears past issues, especially if emotional control was used

I haven't worked much with this stone as it hasn't called to me yet, but I do have a few pieces, so there is time yet. I will follow up with this when I have worked with it.

Snowflake Obsidian

One of many obsidians, and one I use a lot, usually as part of a pair.

This stone can be found fairly easily, there are large deposits of this crystal in Mexico, the USA and Iceland to name but three locations. It has no definite chemical formula, as the properties differ depending on the levels of either black or white in the crystal.

Healing properties include:
  • Boosts courage
  • Grounding
  • Balancing mind body and spirit
  • Gives determination
  • Physical detox
  • Centering properties
  • Protects against negative energies (pair up with Smokey Quartz for double protection)
  • Healing from past life trauma and aggression

Ancestral Work (part 1 )

 Ancestral Communication and Work. Hi Guys, It's me again, as this is work that I have been actively doing, and Cat and I agreed that I would do this post for you. It seems to fit in well with the season. We have discussed this subject briefly in some other posts, such as Vivianite  (just use the search function and input ancestors or spirit work, and you will find the posts to read whichever ones shout at you, as there are too many mentions to put them in here).
