Emporiblog - Altar Items - Cauldron

Hello all!! Today's Altar Items post is about Cauldrons!

When you think of Cauldrons, you think of Witches. Cauldrons have become synonymous with Witchcraft and a sort of symbol. Cauldrons are rounded pots that can be made from ceramics or various types of metal but, cast iron is considered ideal Cauldron material. A Cauldron can either stand upright on 3 or 4 legs or be hung over a fire (in this case, we are specifically looking at miniature ones). In Wicca, they can be used for representation of the Womb of the Goddess

What are Cauldrons used for?

Cauldrons can be used for the following:

- Burning incense
- Burning herbs
- Burning ingredients in general
- Spellwork
- Holding the Element of Fire
- Holding the Element of Water
- Scrying (if filled with water)
- Holding candles

All of these depends on the size of the Cauldron and what the Cauldron is made out of

Do I have to use a Cauldron?

No. You do not have to use a Cauldron in your craft although, they can be useful for a variety of things as they come in various sizes and are made from various materials

I think we'll leave this little post here! Tomorrow will be my last Flora Friday post so I'll try to make it a good one!

Blessings,
