Crystal Wednesday - Crystal Shapes - Angels

Hi Guys,

I know I missed the crystals last week, but we're back this week.

We've looked at crystal grids in the past, but I thought that we could look in a little more detail as to why there are crystals in certain shapes.

Crystal shapes are carved and polished, so are highly worked stones, and some people do not like working with them. As someone who prefers raw, unworked stones, I do have an inordinate number of crystal shapes!

Above is my very own sodalite angel. I also have a carnelian angel, and a large selenite one too.

I have chosen to start with the angel, as this time of year is all about communicating with spirits and higher beings.

So, why do we use certain shapes of crystal?

Simply, to give us focus. Usually, there will be a focal stone in the centre of a crystal grid, these range from regular crystals, to towers, spheres or other shaped crystals. The shape we choose is usually indicative of the focus of the board. Of course, one does not NEED a board or grid to focus energy, but it does sometimes help.

Why an angel?

Angels transcend religion, and are thought of as being Spirits of Light.

Angels are used to focus on:

  • Communicating with Celestial beings
  • Anchor angelic energies
  • Communicating with guardian spirits
  • Raise vibrations
  • Angelic Protection
  • Angelic Healing
  • Bringing light into a dark time
  • Prayer focus
  • Meditation
The colour or choice of crystal can also make a difference as to which Angel is helping.
Here is a useful link to see if you would like to work with certain Angels, and of course, if they would like to work with you.

You can use a carved crystal angel of the chosen colour or stone to help facilitate your communication.

I hope this has helped you with your crystal shape choices for this Season. Next week, crystal skulls!!!

Anything we have missed out, please let us know below.
