Hello all! We're are at that rare point in time where February is granted an extra day so, let's see if there's anything specific we can do!



What is a leap year?

A leap year is something that occurs every 4 years as there are actually 365.25 days in a year but we round it down to 365. To offset the extra .25, February gets an extra day every four years as .25×4=1. Which also coincidentally means that every leap year is divisable by 4

That's enough maths, onto the witchcraft!



What can I do on the 29th of February magick wise?

Aside from whatever else you are drawn to, here are some magicks/ideas that may be more potent:

- Find what's hidden. Since the 29th is technically "hidden" for years at a time, it makes sense to utilise it as a day to uncover things, be it secrets or an object

- Banishing. Bonus points if the spell includes burying something, literally or figuratively 

- Manifesting. The 29th only "manifests" once every 4 years, so why not use that energy

- New projects/Commitments/Goals. Preferably long term 

- Shadow Work

- Curse/Hex breaking or casting/Reversals. Depending on what you're comfortable with

- Gathering/Sourcing/Foraging materials. Ethically and responsibly of course

- Protection

- Spirit Work

- Invisibility/Cloaking. You could technically link the spell to the day itself e.g from 29/2/24 to 29/2/28, remember to be incredibly specific though

- Good luck/Bad luck spells. Some cultures believe the day is lucky, others do not

- Fae work. Remember to be respectful and careful

- Realignment.



Personally, I would prefer a Halloween pt II with an October 32nd but that's just me being biased! As far as I am aware there will be nothing in retrograde around this time (according to my app) so the energy on the 29th should be more or less it's own! I do believe that when we started the blog it was already after the last 29th of February so it will be an experience to see this day with new knowledge!

Hello all! Today's post is kind of a serious one. Looking back through some of our previous posts, I have realised that some of the information that I gave is in fact, incorrect !
