Hello all! Join me as we look at this unique New Moon! We'll get to the unique bit after our standard moon post 


This New Moon is in Pisces ♓ and is a time to explore your dreams, imagination and all things beautiful and mysterious. It is a time of discovery and research. Be like Alice and jump into the rabbit hole, it'll be scary at first but it'll be worth it. A word of warning, emotions may run high during this time but you can harness this moon's energy to better understand your emotions (cough shadow work cough) and productively move through it.


According to my app there's still nothing in retrograde, starting to get a bit suspicious......


Crystals

Now onto the unique part....

This New Moon is taking place on the 10th of March which also happens to be Mother's Day in the UK! So, let's have a look at the energies of the Mother within the Craft....

In the UK, our Mother's Day is also called Mothering Sunday and always takes place on the 4th Sunday of Lent, which means that the date changes every year. It is a day to recognise Mothers, motherhood and the maternal figures in our lives. 
Within witchcraft (mostly Wicca) there is the mostly modern concept of the Triple Goddess, though the deities that fall under this label surpass said label by centuries and millennia. The Goddess most associated with this is Hekate (Hecate) who is often depicted with either 3 separate faces or 3 separate forms:

- The Maiden 

- The Mother 

- The Crone 

And all can be represented by the Triple Moon, which depicts a Waxing moon (maiden), the Full Moon (mother) and a Waning moon (crone).

It is ironic that this Moon is a New Moon instead of a full one but, out of the trilogy, the Mother also represents:

- Fertility 

- Stability 

- Fulfilment 

- Life

- Sexuality 

- Power 

I would also add wisdom to the list and protection, given the "Momma Bear" connotations.

Take a good look at the energies of this Moon and see how the added Mother energies affect it.

Hello all! Today's post is kind of a serious one. Looking back through some of our previous posts, I have realised that some of the information that I gave is in fact, incorrect ! This post will hopefully set the record straight. The previous posts will still stand to serve as a reminder to always cross-reference and research thoroughly to avoid the mistakes that I made. Correction 1  ROSEMARY IS NOT A SUBSTITUTE FOR ANY HERB!  Rosemary can only be substituted for herbs that it shares properties with. And, while we're here: - Rose cannot be substituted for any flower. Only the ones it shares properties with - Frankincense and Copal cannot be substituted for any incense/oil/gum resin. Only the ones that they share properties with - Tobacco cannot be substituted for any poisonous herbs.
