What is Eggshell Powder?

Powdered Eggshells or Cascarilla Powder is a powerful tool that has been used for centuries. It consists of crushed Eggshells. Cascarilla means husk or covering in Spanish so the correct pronunciation is cas car ee yah but  if you pronounce it cas car ill ah you will be understood. Cascarilla Powder is a part of American folk magic and has uses in Vudun/Voodoo practices as well.

There is also a plant called Cascarilla so be specific when looking for Cascarilla Powder. 


What is Cascarilla Powder used for?

Cascarilla Powder is used for:

- Protection
- Banishing
- Ritual/Spell work
- Purification
- Marking boundaries

The Powder can be used like a Salt barrier to protect boundaries and thresholds. It can als be sprinkled around candles in a circle during Candle Magic or used in Candle making (please research this before doing so!). Cascarilla can also be used in Spell Jars/Witch Bottles.


Our product

Our Ground Egg Shell comes as pictured above. Each bottle contains 1/2 ounce of Powder. Please note that natural setting may occur during packaging and shipping but the Powder can be easily separated should this occur.


You can also make Cascarilla chalk, which we are currently experimenting with so keep your eyes peeled 👀


Powdered Eggshell can also be used in cooking but consult your doctor before adding it to your diet!
