Emporiblog - Budget Witchcraft pt II
Hello all!! With the increasing cost of living, I feel that posts like this are needed more than ever, so here are some more Budget Witchcraft tips!!
I briefly touched on charity and thrift shops in part 1, which you can find here 👉🏻 Budget Witchcraft
Charity/Thrift shops are about to become your new best friend! Apart from herbs and maybe Crystals, you should be able to get pretty much everything you need for your craft! Here are some examples:
- Candles/Candle holders. Chances are you'll be able to find some candles and something decent to hold them in
- Books. You'd be surprised at what you can find in charity shops, but don't forget to cross reference!
- Statues/Figurines. If you do Deity/Entity work, you may be able to find a suitable representation/offerings, especially for flora and fauna entities
- Altar Cloths. You might not be able to find something that is specifically an Altar Cloth but, there's bound to be something like a table cloth that you can augment
- Metals. Materials like copper, brass and iron have uses within Witchcraft and there's bound to be something in a charity shop that's made of what your looking for
- Jars/Containers. You can never have too many jars and containers
- Note Books. You can never do enough research or make enough notes. You should be able to find a notebook or two to continue your journey or even make into a BOS or a Grimoire
- Bells. Witch bells (separate post incoming!) or just bells in general can be used to sound cleanse
- Mirrors. Mirrors can be made into Scrying tools, used for glamour magic and mirror shards can be used in Spells and rituals
- Jewelry. It's always worth a look to see if there's anything you need in this section, but remember to cleanse!
I think I've covered the basics! I would also recommend getting clothes from the charity shop as well, especially if you have small children, you know how fast they grow!
Blessings,
