Crystal Wednesday - Crystals That Cannot Go In Sunlight

Hello all!! Today's Crystal Wednesday will be covering Crystals that cannot go in Sunlight!!


So far we've covered Crystals that cannot go in water and salt (links at the bottom) but another way to cleanse Crystals is to use Sunlight, however, not all Crystals can be in Sunlight for long periods of time due to their chemical compositions or their colours fading. So, let's see what Crystals should avoid the Sun.....


Don't put in Sunlight


- Amethyst, all colours 
- Ametrine
- Apatite
- Apophyllite
- Aquamarine
- Auralite
- Adventurine
- Beryl
- Calcite
- Celestite
- Chrysoprase
- Citrine
- Clear Quartz
- Fluorite
- Hiddenite
- Kunzite
- Opal
- Prasiolite
- Rose Quartz
- Sapphire
- Spirit Quartz
- Smokey Quartz
- Super Seven
- Topaz
- Turquoise
- Unakite



Some of these Crystals can be left in Sunlight for very short periods of time ( a maximum of 5 minutes) but not all of them can. If you accidentally leave out one of the Crystals that fades in the Sun, don't worry, it will not effect the Crystals properties and you can still use it!!

I will do some more research to see if there are any Crystals that cannot be cleansed with Moonlight, Smoke or other Crystals.
