Emporiblog - Waxing Moon

Hello all! Today's post is about the Waxing Moon!

Some people tend to focus on the New and Full Moon and forget about the Waxing and Waning phases of the Lunar cycle (I know I do). I will be doing a post after the Full Moon on the Waning Moon. The Waxing Moon is also split into 3 subcategories:

- The Waxing Moon
- The First Quarter
- The Waxing Gibbous

For the purposes of this, I'm focusing on things that can be done at any stage of the Waxing Moon, I will do more in-depth posts on each phase in the future!

The Waxing Moon is the phase in-between the New and Full Moon where the Moon gradually becomes brighter, this makes it an ideal time to do spells/rituals for self improvement. This can be to do with your career like, changing jobs or a promotion, boosting your self-esteem or taking time for self care or to do with your love life, whether you want to date, promote self love or promote health and happiness in an existing relationship. It would also be a good time to acknowledge growth or manifest it. You can also use this energy to focus on practicing and refining your craft so it would be a good time to refine and try that spell you've been working on for a while!

Now is also a good time to give a boost to spells that have already been cast and to existing protections. Luck spells are usually more powerful during this time as well.

The Waxing phase of the Moon lasts for about 2 weeks so there's no rush to get things underway and, since the lunar cycle repeats itself, it doesn't matter if you're not ready this time around!

It is also recommended to use this time to plan and prepare so you can reach you goals. Think very carefully about what you want to achieve and use this time to manifest your goals or gather any energy you need.

If you can think of anything else that you've been putting off for one reason or another, it might be time to at least think about going about it or starting it if you can, especially if it's something to do with yourself like clearing your space or just a corner, learning a new skill either to further career prospects or just for fun, buy the thing you want/need (as long as it's within your means!) or take a break, especially if you're feeling run down.

If you're stuck for ideas during this time, have a look at some of our past blogs for inspiration as some of the topics covered are ongoing. Further reading:

I hope you've enjoyed this post, keep your eyes peeled for more!!
