What are the benefits of a Water Ward?
The benefits of this ward include:
- Can be any size
- Easy to change
- Great for altars
- Can be placed almost anywhere
- Cheap and easy to make
A quick note: If you have children or a pet, put this type of ward high up and out of the way, especially if you have cats!
Once you have decided on the purpose of your ward, you can begin to make one!
How to make a Water Ward (WW)
For an easy WW, you will need:
- Some sort of lidless container or bowl
- Water (Charged or tap)
Step 1
Place water in chosen recepticle making sure to leave plenty of room
Step 2
Set your intentions with the ward and place appropriately
As a bonus, you can draw/paint sigils and runes onto the recepticle for extra power
For a more complicated WW
You will need the following:
- Lidless container or bowl
- Water (charged or tap)
- Herbs
- Crystal/s
Step 1
Add your ingredients to your bowl but do not put too much in. A very light sprinkling is more than enough, depending on the size of your recepticle or nothing more than a teaspoon full
Step 2
If you are using a crystal, put it in the centre of the bowl. If you are using chips, place them in the bowl but don't use too many
Step 3
Add your water but leave plenty of room and place appropriately
As a bonus, you can draw/paint sigils and runes onto the recepticle for extra power. Oil can also be added but only use a few drops!
Maintaince
Like every ward, a WW needs to be maintained and replenished. Here is a rough outline of when to change your WW.
Change the ward when:
- The ward feels stale
- If there is mould
- If there are insects
- If the recepticle cracks/breaks
To dispose of the ward, pick out crystals and dry them. You can also separate the herbs but that will be fiddly. Then pour the water down the drain and rinse or flush down the toilet.
What is charged water?
As mentioned in the ingredients list, charged water is water that has been made and charged for specific purposes and with specific energies. Examples (and further reading) include:
- Moon Water (covered in this post Full Moon)
- Mars Water (Like War Water but just plain water and intention)
